About JKYDF

J&K Youth Development Forum (JKYDF) is a dedicated initiative committed to empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir through skill development, education, and employment-oriented programs. Our goal is to nurture young talent, promote self-reliance, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the region. We believe that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir hold immense potential, and through the right support, they can become agents of positive change and progress.

Over the years, JKYDF has actively collaborated with national-level schemes and government initiatives to bring impactful opportunities to local youth. We have been closely involved in the NSDC – UDAAN scheme, which provides skill development and placement opportunities to graduates from J&K across various industries in India. Additionally, under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), we have facilitated training programs aimed at enhancing the employability of rural youth with a focus on long-term career sustainability.

Through the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), we offer free, short-term skill training in industry-relevant areas, followed by certification and placement support. In the hospitality and tourism sectors—key areas of growth for Jammu and Kashmir—we run specialized Hospitality Sector Resource Training (HSRT) programs to build a workforce that aligns with the region’s unique tourism potential.

We are also involved in supporting PM Surya Ghar, an initiative that promotes the adoption of solar energy. As part of this, we aim to educate and skill youth in green technologies, encouraging environmental responsibility and creating jobs in the renewable energy sector. Additionally, we deliver high-quality training programs under fee-based skilling models in partnership with NSDC, helping students access premium skill development courses aligned with industry needs.

At JKYDF, our mission is not just to train but to transform. By empowering young people with the right skills and opportunities, we envision a brighter, stronger, and more self-reliant Jammu and Kashmir.
