Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) is a skill development initiative launched by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, aimed at creating employable skills among youth, particularly from economically weaker sections. At JKYDF, we proudly implement HSRT to provide short-term, job-oriented training programs in the hospitality and tourism sector—an area with immense potential in Jammu & Kashmir.

Under this initiative, candidates are trained in trades such as food production, food & beverage service, housekeeping, and front office operations. The courses are completely free of cost and include hands-on practical training, soft skills development, and career counselling. Upon successful completion, participants receive a government-recognized certificate and placement support to enter the industry with confidence.

JKYDF’s implementation of HSRT has empowered hundreds of youth by equipping them with skills that lead to direct employment or self-employment in hotels, guest houses, restaurants, and travel agencies. With Jammu & Kashmir’s growing focus on tourism, HSRT serves as a critical pathway for local youth to build sustainable livelihoods in their own region.
