UDAAN, an initiative by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Home Affairs, was specifically designed to address the skill and employment gap for educated youth in Jammu & Kashmir. As a proud implementation partner, JKYDF played a vital role in mobilizing graduates and postgraduates across the region and connecting them with pan-India corporate job opportunities through structured skill development and placement support.
The UDAAN program offered industry-specific training, personality development, and exposure to national-level employers, thereby preparing J&K youth for mainstream employment in sectors like banking, IT, retail, and telecom. It also helped in building corporate confidence in the talent pool of the region while fostering a sense of inclusion and national integration.
Through its involvement in NSDC UDAAN, JKYDF successfully trained and placed hundreds of aspirants, bridging the gap between local talent and national opportunities. Although the program has now concluded, its impact continues to resonate through the success stories and career growth of the youth it empowered.
